Single point of contact model
In this model, the client primarily interacts with one single lead consultancy that manages all ‘spoke’ agencies behind the scenes. This tends to be typical amongst clients with small internal teams.
Pros:
- Time efficient for client
- Simple
Cons:
- Client potentially distant from agencies and vice versa
- More expensive
Regional hub model
In this model, the client primarily interacts with several ‘hub’ agencies, typically on a regional basis. In turn, the hub agencies manage the regional spoke agencies behind the scenes. This tends to be the typical way in which most international clients operate.
Pros:
- Client closer to the agencies, benefitting from regional advice first hand
- Agencies closer to client, improving understanding
Cons:
- Less time efficient than single point of contact model
- Still some management expense
