The economy, way of working and overall way of life were challenged and changed during the pandemic. Some of those changes are here to stay, especially those related to everyday work. According to the BBC online working will bring flexible working hours, introduce changes to office space leasing and overall alter the working culture. But no matter how we organize our day-to-day business, one thing remains unchanged – our striving to maintain a relationship with clients and find new ones. How to turn a crisis into an opportunity to build relationships with your clients and even get new ones? Some of the advice might be:
- Inform your clients and be their consultant in these difficult times
- Set the honest tone of communication
- Focus on digital channels
- Provide additional value
- Share your experiences
Your clients might still be confused and uncertain about their next steps, so be there to provide them with all information in an empathetic but rational way. Point out all the problems with no hesitation but offer solutions. This honest and direct communication can be rewarding. If you provide additional value as well – hard work and new proactive ideas that might improve their business, you can gain clients’ trust. Perhaps they will recognize you as a partner in other upcoming projects as well.
If you are a digital agency inform your client about the benefits of the digital presence. As stated on Statista: “Social media usage is one of the most popular online activities. In 2020, over 3.6 billion people were using social media worldwide, a number projected to increase to almost 4.41 billion in 2025“.
Last but not least – share your experiences. This advice helped GCPR members to find solutions, to share projects and open doors for new global PR campaigns.
